ELEMENTS BAGs = effortless CLEAN + CARE
Researchers have found that your go-to bag, that precious carryall that holds your life carry more bacteria than most toilet seats… Every time you set your bag down, whether on the floor, on a public park bench, in a gym locker or wherever, it's going to pick up bacteria.
That is why we should all clean our bags more often but let’s face it, most bags are a hassle to clean.
THE ELEMENTS bags, however are a different story: with their waterproof construction, cleaning your bag is super easy and convenient:
For the DRY_PACK + DRY DUFFEL : Simply remove the lining, then hose it down and give it a quick rub using a mild liquid detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Wipe dry or air dry.
For the lining itself, you can just throw it in the machine on the cold wash setting and hang dry.
For the DRY_CLUTCH + DRY_WALLET : Wash it in the sink using a mild liquid detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Wipe dry or air dry.
+ presto, literally squeaky clean.

WATER RESISTANT vs WATER REPELLANT vs WATERPROOF: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
Water resistant: Water resistant bags are made with fabrics that shed water because of their weave or because they have been treated. They are able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely. Since the bags use standard zippers with holes between the teeth and are stitched together using traditional sewing methods that leave puncture holes at the seams, they will soak through in heavy rain.
Water repellent: Water repellant bags offer a bit more protection than water resistant ones as they are made with fabrics that are more effective than water-resistant fabrics. The fabrics are either very tightly woven or coated with a finish that causes the water to repel by making little beads when it hits the fabric rather than going through. As a result, they are not easily penetrated by water. However, because water repellant bags also use standard zippers with holes between the teeth and are stitched together, leaving needle holes at the seams, there will be leakage in a serious downpour.
Waterproof: waterproof bags are also known as dry bags. They are impervious to water. Dry bags are typically made of PVC or Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) coated fabrics. The plastic coating makes the fabric completely waterproof and can not be penetrated by water. The bags are then constructed with ultrasonic welded seams and are fitted with waterproof zippers. Because there are no needle or zipper holes, the bags are completely waterproof and not just water resistant. Moreover, the roll-top closure, where the opening folds over on itself two or more times, keeps the bags air and watertight.
If there are stitched holes where the body panels meet, it isn’t waterproof!

WHAT IS A DRY BAG?
Like its name suggests, dry bags are waterproof bags designed to keep your things dry. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or just someone who lives in a rainy city, dry bags are an essential tool to protect your belongings from getting wet from unpredictable elements. Dry bags are an assurance and will guarantee your ease of mind.
There are, however, many bags on the market today that claim to be waterproof when they are merely water repellent or water resistant.
Dry bags are typically made of Vinyl or Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) coated fabrics such as Nylon or Polyester.
Remember, if there are stitched holes where the body panels meet, it isn’t waterproof!
